Medical Weight Management Consultations
Weight is influenced by far more than willpower.
Biology, hormones, lifestyle and health history all play a role. Your consultation is designed to understand your individual picture before any plan is discussed - with a focus on sustainable change, not rapid or extreme approaches.
Why Savu Studio
Weight management done well is medical, not generic. At Savu Studio, your first consultation is about building a complete picture of your health - not applying a one-size-fits-all program.
Every consultation is led by Nurse Practitioner Simon Henning, with a background spanning emergency medicine, primary care and metabolic health. Consultations may be conducted in person or via telehealth where clinically appropriate.

Your Plan
No two weight management plans look the same. Depending on your assessment, your plan may involve lifestyle and behavioural strategies, monitoring and pathology review, referral to allied health, or medical management where clinically appropriate - always determined after a full assessment, never assumed beforehand.
Initial consultation: $80
Follow-up consultation: $65
Some patients may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for certain consultations at Savu Studio. Please note that eligibility varies and is confirmed at the time of your appointment. Your Nurse Practitioner is happy to discuss this with you.
Why see a Nurse Practitioner?
As an endorsed Nurse Practitioner, Simon is qualified to assess, diagnose and manage weight-related health concerns, bringing a whole-person clinical approach rather than a narrow focus on the scale.
Ongoing follow-up is a core part of care here - sustainable outcomes come from support over time, not a single appointment.
FAQs
Will I be prescribed medication?
Not necessarily. Recommendations are individual and depend entirely on your assessment - medical management is one option among several, not the default approach.
Can consultations be done via telehealth?
Yes, where clinically appropriate. Some elements of assessment may still require an in-person visit.
How often will I need follow-up?
This varies by individual. Ongoing review is part of sustainable weight management and will be discussed as part of your plan.
Is this covered by Medicare?
Some consultations may be eligible for a Medicare rebate depending on your circumstances - this can be discussed at your appointment.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required to see a Nurse Practitioner for a weight management consultation.
