Women’s Health Consultations

Perimenopause & menopause symptom support, led by a Nurse Practitioner

Understanding your symptoms, on your terms

Perimenopause and menopause can bring a wide range of changes - hot flushes, night sweats, sleep disruption, mood changes, brain fog, irregular cycles, and shifts in energy or libido. Every woman's experience is different, and the right approach starts with a thorough, individual assessment.

At Savu Studio, women's health consultations are led by Simon Henning, a Nurse Practitioner with endorsement to assess, diagnose, and prescribe within his scope of practice.

FAQs

Do I need a referral to book?

No referral is required. You can book directly with Simon for a women's health consultation.

What happens at my first appointment?

Your initial consultation is a comprehensive, 60-minute face-to-face assessment. This includes a detailed discussion of your symptoms and medical history, a physical examination, and pathology or investigations if clinically indicated. Simon will work with you to develop a personalised care plan.

Will I need pathology or other tests?

This depends on your individual presentation. Pathology and investigations are ordered where clinically indicated, based on your history and examination - not as a standard step for everyone.

Can I get my results back and discuss next steps the same day?

Pathology results generally take a few days to return. Your care plan and next steps will be discussed with you once your results are available, either at a follow-up appointment or via telehealth.

Does Medicare cover this consultation?

Medicare rebates may apply. Our team can talk you through what applies to your individual circumstances when you book.

Is telehealth available for follow-up appointments?

Yes. Follow-up consultations are available either in-clinic or via telehealth, depending on what suits your circumstances and clinical needs.

How do I know if this consultation is right for me?

This consultation is suited to women experiencing symptoms associated with perimenopause or menopause - such as changes to their cycle, sleep, mood, or general wellbeing - who want a thorough, individual assessment before deciding on next steps.

What if I'm not sure whether my symptoms are related to perimenopause?

That's part of what the consultation is for. Simon will take a detailed history and, where appropriate, arrange investigations to help clarify what's happening and guide next steps.
